La Belle Lavande combines cream interiors, blue shutters, refined textiles, terracotta tommette floors, mid-century furniture and artwork. Stone walls and tiles temper summer heat; all four bedrooms have air conditioning and ensuite or adjacent bathrooms. One is downstairs, three upstairs. The living room has a fireplace. The spacious garden offers lavender beside the pool, oleander, olives, a shaded coffee table and courtyard barbecue. Table tennis and boules provide recreation; Sean, a scops owl, sometimes calls from next door’s pine. Eygalières, quieter than Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, has coffee-specialist-run Le Piston d’Or and a boulodrome. L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue’s antiques, waterwheels and weekend markets are half an hour’s drive away.

The maximum temperature is 26°C, depending on weather conditions. Local tax is EUR 5.18 per person, per night, payable when the balance is settled. A permanent fence has replaced the pool alarm visible in some photographs. Maximum occupancy is 8 guests plus one infant.
