Between Amalfi and Positano, Casa Porpora overlooks the sea from Praiano’s hillside. Its Pompeii-red façade is visible offshore; every room and terrace faces the water. Emilio Pucci bedsteads, leopard-skin armchairs, chocolate-velvet Baroque sofas and white linen furnish the interiors; a bathroom holds an ancient Pompeii artefact. Citrus trees surround Trani-stone dining beneath interlaced arches; rooftop loungers share space with cacti. Two lounges include one overlooking the indoor spa pool through glass. Outdoor swimming, a professional kitchen and a welcome buffet complete the setting. The details

The main entrance and ground floor are separated by 15 steps. Several bedrooms have steps leading to their en-suite bathrooms: bedroom one has four steps up, and bedroom two has 10 steps down.
The ground-floor master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and handheld shower, together with a private sea-view terrace.
The two living spaces comprise a TV lounge with home theatre and winter garden, and a principal sitting room whose glass floor looks onto the indoor pool below.
A fully equipped professional kitchen and dining room occupy the ground floor; the Trani-stone terrace provides an outdoor dining space.
Bedroom two opens onto a private terrace laid with antique terracotta. Only bedroom three can be arranged with twin beds; bedrooms one, two and four cannot be converted.
Accessed by 20 steps from the first floor, the furnished rooftop terrace has a cactus garden, wooden loungers and an outdoor shower.
The chlorine-free outdoor pool measures 6 metres by 5.5 metres and has extensive sea views.
On the lower ground floor, the heated indoor spa pool offers chromotherapy, hydromassage and waterfall features beneath frescoed vaulted ceilings.

For an additional charge, the TV room can serve as a bedroom, increasing capacity to 10 guests. This arrangement must be requested when booking. The villa stands on Praiano’s main street, so traffic noise should be expected. Its central position provides easy access to local amenities and a convenient starting point for Amalfi Coast day trips. There is no parking on the property. Off-site parking approximately 400 feet away must be requested in advance and carries an additional charge. Local regulations require city tax to be paid on site in cash, at approximately €4 per person per night. All catering is handled exclusively by the villa management and in-house staff. External chefs and third-party caterers are not allowed. A private chef and cooking classes are available on request for an additional charge. Additional housekeeping costs €25 per hour. Check-in after 8pm or check-out before 8am incurs a €50 supplement. Pets are not allowed, and smoking is prohibited throughout the villa. Outdoor pool heating can be requested during winter for an additional charge. Water temperature depends on outdoor conditions.
