Built into upper Positano’s cliffs in the 1400s, Villa Grande remains with its original family, run by siblings Alice and Nello Oliviero. Six spacious en suite bedrooms span several levels, three occupying separate annexes. Interiors include a generous living room with fireplace, professional kitchen and rock-cut dining room. The lowest terrace holds a 10 x 10-metre pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, pizza oven, barbecue and bar. Almost everywhere, views encompass Positano’s pastel houses, yachts in the bay and Li Galli. A local cook prepares daily continental breakfasts and Italian dinners; a concierge arranges restaurants, boats and transfers. The elevator to Viale Marconi is 80 metres away.

Each of the six bedrooms overlooks the sea.
On the ground floor, a professional kitchen, spacious living room opening onto a terrace, dining room cut into the rock and one double bedroom with a private bathroom and balcony all have sea views.
The lower ground floor contains two bedrooms, both with private bathrooms: one has a double bed, while the other can be arranged with a double bed or twin beds if requested before arrival.
Two independent annexes on the lower ground floor each contain a double bed and private bathroom; access to one involves 10 steps.
A third annexe sits one level below, reached by 20 steps, and contains a double bed and private bathroom.
The pool level contains a 10-metre swimming pool, steam room, bathroom and bar.

Extra notes

The villa cannot be reached directly by car. An elevator links Viale Marconi, the main street, with upper Positano; the villa is approximately 80 metres from the elevator. It operates from 8 am until midnight. Outside these hours, access requires an uphill walk of approximately 400 metres from the main street and a climb of around 190 steps. Parking is available for an additional charge. Under local regulations, city tax must be paid on site in cash.
