Between St Tropez and Toulon, La Fossette occupies a peninsula with sea on three sides, near Le Lavandou’s Provençal markets and beaches. All eight bedrooms have uninterrupted Mediterranean views. Lawns descend towards the water amid trailing daisies and cicadas; rough stone steps reach the pool, while winding steps provide direct sea access. Tomette terracotta floors, contemporary art and linen sofas give the interiors a lived-in, retro southern French character. Staff maintain the house; a living-room log burner warms cooler stays. The family suite has a desk, and shaded outdoor dining has cushions. A short private path reaches beach-club life, tuna tartare, chilled rosé and the shore.

The details

On the ground floor, a fully equipped kitchen opens onto a private terrace. This level also has a living room with a log burner, a TV room and an office area.
The principal bedroom occupies the first floor and has a king-size bed convertible to twin beds, an en-suite shower room and balcony access.
Two further double bedrooms are on the first floor. One has a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a bath and balcony access. The other is a family suite with a king-size bed convertible to twins, a separate bunk-bed room and a shower room.
The lower ground floor contains four bedrooms, including a second principal bedroom with a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower, and access to the garden.
One bedroom has a single bed and an en-suite bathroom; another has twin beds, an en-suite bathroom with a bath and access to two other bedrooms. A further bedroom has a queen-size bed, an en-suite shower room and garden access; a bed can be added in this room for up to two children.
