Dating to 1738, Le Mas de Chabran was an olive mill and later a stately home whose owner’s chimpanzees once escaped into the village. Designer Liliana Atilova and architect Alain Meylan shaped its interiors, combining art throughout, Mirabel Slabbinch linen, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue antiques and large Indian doors linking kitchen, library bar and living rooms. Bedrooms overlook gardens or a nearby château. Vegetables, May-flowering white roses and lavender grow outside; horses graze neighbouring fields and frogs inhabit the pond. A pergola seats 18 beside a flower-bordered pool. Nearby Paradou offers sacristains, while Les Alpilles walking routes, bicycle and boat rentals, and Camargue horse-riding invite exploration.
