South of Florence, Al Cielo Stellato occupies a quiet Chianti hilltop, 2.5 miles from Gaiole in Chianti. The restored 400-year-old Tuscan villa and separate cottage combine contemporary interiors with family practicality. Gardens overlook rolling hills, with swings, toys and baby equipment available. The heated infinity pool has a gate, remote-controlled safety cover and floats. Terraces offer pergola shade, outdoor dining and projector screenings. The gym has a treadmill and rowing machine. Nearby, the first October weekend brings L'Eroica’s vintage-bike cyclists; vineyards and castles line the SS 408, with Castello di Brolio and the Ricasoli wine estate combining both interests.

The rental includes water, gas and electricity, Wi-Fi, air conditioning/heating where available, an initial supply of bed linen and towels, weekly linen and towel changes for stays exceeding 7 nights, welcome items, final cleaning, and garden and pool maintenance. At some properties, electricity, air conditioning and heating may be subject to a weekly usage allowance where specified in the extra notes.

The seven bedrooms are divided between the main villa and a separate guest cottage.
Every bedroom has a super-king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and Farmacia Santa Maria Novella toiletries.
One bedroom occupies the ground floor, with access from outside and a private terrace.
The ground floor also contains a living room, workspace, kitchen, dining room seating 12, laundry room and guest bathroom.
Additional spaces include a games room with billiards and table football, a gym and a wine cellar, which opens on request; wine costs extra.
The main villa’s first floor contains four further bedrooms and a second living room.
The remaining two bedrooms occupy the separate guest cottage.
Set a short distance from the house, the gated 12m pool has a dedicated covered terrace furnished with sofas and armchairs.
Several terraces provide outdoor space, including a dining table beneath a pergola.

Extra notes

The access road is unpaved and includes steep, uneven stretches. Its condition is fair, but careful driving is recommended, particularly in vehicles with low ground clearance. For safety and the best cooking results, the pizza oven may be operated only by the villa’s chef or under their supervision. Services at the villa may be delivered only by in-house staff or approved local personnel to ensure consistent service standards. Bringing outside personnel, including chefs, housekeepers or musicians, requires prior written approval. Separate terms and conditions apply if permission is granted. Parties, weddings and large gatherings require the owner’s prior written consent. Approval may involve additional charges and specific conditions. Heating carries an additional charge. Local regulations require city tax to be paid on site in cash, approximately €4 per person per night.
