Count Cosimo Bernardini, whose family shaped the Republic of Lucca’s politics, built this parkland retreat for weekend boar hunts in the 18th century. Its 12 bedrooms, Italian-fabric furnishings, music and billiards rooms, wine library and chandelier-lit banqueting hall suit family gatherings and celebrations. A chef, maid service and concierge support stays, with dining beside fountains and a formal fish pond, and an 18m garden pool. The details

The accommodation extends across three buildings and wings, arranged in the manner of a Tuscan hamlet.
The ground floor of the 'Peschiera' section contains a formal dining room seating 26 and a spacious living room.
Upstairs are four double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, one convertible to twin beds. Each overlooks the peschiera fountain.
The ground floor of the second section, 'Horseshoe', includes a kitchen, a music room with a piano, a games room and a wine library. Wine is available on request at an additional charge.
The first floor of 'Horseshoe' contains five double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, one convertible to twin beds. One bedroom also has a private sitting area.
The third section, 'Chiesina', has a small gym, living room and laundry room on the ground floor.
The remaining three bedrooms occupy the first floor: two doubles and one twin, all with en-suite bathrooms.
Outdoor meals can be served in the courtyards or beside the historic fish pond, known as the peschiera, and fountains.

Extra notes

To protect guest privacy, outside suppliers may not enter the estate. All additional services must be organised exclusively through the estate’s Concierge team, which can be contacted before arrival. This coordination is included in the rental. Guests may use a multi-purpose tennis court on a nearby estate, approximately two minutes away by car. It can be converted for soccer or volleyball and is shared with the other houses on that estate. Some estate staff live in a separate apartment on the grounds, providing discreet assistance close at hand. Heating, air-conditioning and electricity are included up to 2,000 kWh per week. Meal and beverage charges are €20 per person for breakfast and €50–€60 per person for lunch or dinner, depending on the menu.
