Il Cellese’s vines were first planted in the 1960s by owner Sergio Sardelli’s grandfather; his aunt was among the region’s earliest female Chianti Classico producers. Twenty years of restoration paired terracotta, beams and stone with abstract art and modern comforts. The nearby winery has private dining, estate wines and barrels painted by Santiago Ydáñez and Miki Leal; bottles travel in a custom ostrich-leather trunk. Landscaped gardens offer a wood-fired pizza oven, barbecue and vineyard-facing terrace. Indoor-outdoor swimming, wellness facilities and walking paths complement the setting. Castellina, ten minutes’ drive away, has family trattorias, Brunelleschi connections and hilltop views towards Siena and Florence.
