Commissioned by an Italian prince in the 19th century, Villa del Duca reflects its French architect’s influence. Marble columns, a grand piano, frescoed ceilings, paintings and furnishings dating to the 16th century accompany Braquenié fabrics. Bedrooms feature Murano chandeliers; bathrooms provide Santa Maria Novella products.
The 7,400-acre estate has a tennis court, pool, vegetable garden and woodland paths. Homemade arrival snacks, garden pizzas and TV and billiards rooms lend informality. Migliarino’s beaches are a short drive away; Pisa is under 10km away, Lucca 20 minutes by car, and Pietrasanta and Carrara half an hour.

- Most of the property is accessible, with a lift connecting the floors; showers and bathrooms are not adapted.
- The lower ground floor contains a fully equipped kitchen, an air-conditioned gym with a massage table, and a pizzeria with a wood-fired pizza oven.
