Between Florence and Siena, Villa Il Santo combines an 11th-century tower with an ivy-covered former barn, restored in 2023 by Jane and Steven Collins. Earth-toned interiors feature Peter Haigh art and furniture by Giotto Stopino and Pierre Paulin. Eight bedrooms include two with freestanding baths; all but one have ensuite bathrooms. A garden-facing kitchen and vaulted dining room seating 16 support relaxed gatherings. Outside, terraces overlook the hills towards San Gimignano, alongside a Fontana pizza oven, outdoor dining spaces and a hand-tiled infinity pool. A separate poolside studio accommodates additional guests or staff. Tavarnelle Val di Pesa is ten minutes away by car.

Extra notes

The approach road is unpaved and generally well maintained, with occasional uneven patches. A local farmer also uses the road and may pass from time to time for agricultural work. He takes care to limit noise and disruption. There are unprotected drops and slopes around the property. Young children must remain under supervision at all times. Two travel cots and highchairs are available free of charge on request. If a folding bed is required, the total guest count must still remain within the maximum occupancy of 16. Local regulations require the city tax to be paid on site in cash, at approximately €2.50 per person per night. Housekeeping is unavailable on Sundays and public holidays.
