Architect Luca Borgogni and designer Kristen Bridge bought this 1780 house as their holiday home before opening it to guests. A film and television location two centuries later, it was restored in 2025, retaining arches, loggias, columns, terracotta, timber and travertine. Airy interiors combine parquet bedrooms, Florentine furniture, locally crafted beds, local-stone carved basins and Le Creuset cookware.
Above the Arbia River valley, indoor-outdoor living and a vast dining terrace overlook cypresses and vines. Vagliagli’s trattorias and essentials are five minutes’ drive away; medieval Radda, Castellina and Siena are twenty. Nearby wineries include Fattoria della Aiola, Dievole and Castello di Ama.
