La Residenza occupies a wooded valley on the 1,760-acre Villa Saletta estate near Forcoli. Etruscan winemaking began here over a millennium ago; its Cabernet France is named 980AD. Beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, a grandfather clock and carved antique beds furnish the farmhouse and former-hayloft annexe across the pool.
Stays include a generous bread, pasta, cheese, charcuterie, jam and balsamic hamper, two-wine and olive-oil tasting with Tuscan bread and breadsticks, and bedside artisanal dark chocolate made locally with estate olive oil. Forcoli offers groceries, an ATM, pharmacy, pizzerias, restaurant and gelateria; estate walks, forest hikes, guided truffle hunts and nearby Tuscan cities provide outings.

- Standard rental inclusions cover water, gas and electricity, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning/heating where available, initial bed linen and towels with weekly replacements for stays exceeding 7 nights, welcome items, departure cleaning, and garden and pool upkeep. At some properties, electricity, air-conditioning and heating consumption may have weekly allowances where specified in the extra notes.

- The seven bedrooms comprise four doubles and one twin in the main house, all ensuite and reached by stairs on the first and second floors, plus one double and one single on the guest annexe’s first floor, sharing a bathroom.
- The main house’s ground floor contains a spacious kitchen with dining seats for 6, a dining room seating 14, and two sitting rooms.
- Additional rooms include a billiards room, laundry room and utility room.
- The separate guest annexe has a private sitting area and kitchen on its ground floor.
- Sun loungers surround the 12m pool, which includes a Jacuzzi; a barbecue and a sheltered outdoor dining table are also available.

Extra notes
Access to the villa is along a 1 km unpaved road, generally well maintained and suitable for standard cars.
Check-in is between 5pm and 8pm.
Pool heating can be requested for EUR 400 per week, with at least 1 week’s notice before arrival. The heat pump can warm the water to a maximum of 26°C, depending on weather conditions. There is no overnight pool cover.
