Designed for family gatherings, Les Amandiers combines mint-green shutters, timber beams, exposed stone and flagstone floors. A 250-year-old plane tree stands outside; gardens inspired by Dominique Lafourcade feature wisteria, iceberg roses, Russian sage, cypress and lavender. Shaded dining and sitting terraces overlook generous lawns, with a 15m pool, daybeds and floodlit tennis court. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is five minutes away by bicycle. Van Gogh painted over 150 works during his time here; visitors can explore Saint-Paul Asylum, art walks and audio tours, the Alpilles and Glanum’s Roman ruins. Nearby Domaine de Valdition offers wine tasting and a homewares boutique.

Housekeeping is provided for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.

The rental covers water, gas and electricity, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning/heating where available, an initial supply of bed linen and towels with weekly changes for stays exceeding 7 nights, welcome items, departure cleaning, and garden and pool upkeep. At some properties, weekly allowances may apply to electricity, air-conditioning and heating consumption where specified in the extra notes.

The details

The main bedroom occupies the first floor of the east wing, with a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom containing a freestanding bathtub.
The west wing’s first floor contains three double bedrooms. One has a double bed and a separate private bathroom with a bathtub. The other two each have a king-size bed convertible into twin beds and an ensuite shower room.
A separate annex contains a TV living room, kitchenette, one double bedroom with a king-size bed and one children’s bedroom with bunk beds. It also has a large shower room, a separate toilet and laundry facilities.
The smaller second annex has a double bedroom with a king-size bed, convertible into twin beds on request, and an ensuite shower room.
There are two living rooms: one with a TV and one without. The room without a TV has an open fireplace.
The fully fitted kitchen leads directly to the terrace, outdoor dining space and pool.
The property is not recommended for children younger than seven.

Occupancy is limited to 14 guests, children included. One bedroom is a children’s room with bunk beds. The property is unsuitable for children under seven. Air-conditioning is partial. The ground floor has underfloor cooling and heating throughout; all bedrooms have air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Pool heating is available on request for EUR 350 per week, in High and Mid season only. The maximum temperature is 26 degrees, depending on weather conditions. Payment is required in advance when the rental balance is due. Local tax is EUR 4.32 per person per night, payable when the rental balance is due. Extra housekeeping can be arranged for EUR 40 per hour, subject to availability.
