In Monteroni d'Arbia, Podere la Quadra occupies two acres in Crete Senesi. This restored 1930s red-brick farmhouse overlooks fields, cypress rows and distant Siena through 360 degrees. Reclaimed beams, terracotta tones, Carrera marble, iron four-posters and bespoke glass shower screens define its interiors; artwork beside the dining table honours the restoration team. The original oven makes pizzas with garden tomatoes, aubergines and peppers. An infinity pool, hot tub and terrace sofas invite countryside views and sunset aperitifs with the house red. Siena offers markets and Gothic architecture; nearby Buonconvento has rustic restaurants. Montalcino, 20 minutes south, offers Pecorino and Brunello di Montalcino.
