Elevated above the Aegean, Villa Ammos sits 200 metres from Almyrida, a former fishing village with a gently shelving sandy bay and tavernas. One of three properties, it feels secluded. Stone floors, pale woods and cream tones define its open-plan interior. Two upstairs bedrooms share a full-length sea-facing balcony; another opens onto a private courtyard.
The terrace has a pool, retractable dining awning, barbecue and sofas. Headland and White Mountains views are particularly striking at sunset. Explore northwest Crete’s coves, ravines and rugged mountains: Plaka and Kalyves are four and 14 minutes’ drive away; medieval Chania, with its Venetian harbour and Old Town, is under 40 minutes away.

Inclusions
- A villa manager is available to assist with arrivals and guest enquiries.
- Housekeeping takes place daily except Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, for approximately 1 hour 20 minutes between 10am and 2pm.
- Bed linen and towels are changed midweek, on Tuesdays.
- The pool is maintained twice a week in the early morning; garden maintenance takes approximately one hour every Thursday.
- Bathrobes, slippers, luxury toiletries and fresh flowers are provided on arrival.
- The rental includes water, gas and electricity, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning/heating where available, an initial set of bed linen and towels with weekly changes for stays exceeding 7 nights, welcome items, final cleaning, and garden and pool maintenance. Some properties have weekly allowances for electricity, air-conditioning and heating, where specified in the extra notes.
The details
- The ground floor brings together the living room, dining space and kitchen in an open-plan arrangement.
- On the lower ground floor, one double bedroom can be arranged with twin beds and has a private courtyard, alongside a separate family bathroom with hammam, sauna and shower.
- The main bedroom occupies the first floor and includes a king-size bed, TV, an en-suite bathroom with a hot tub-style bath, and access to a shared balcony.
- A second first-floor double bedroom has a bed that can be configured as twins, a TV and access to the balcony shared with the main bedroom.
- The outdoor terrace includes an 11m pool, barbecue, dining area and lounge. Pool heating is available at an additional charge with advance notice.
- Subject to availability, larger parties can book Villa Ammos together with its sister property, Almyra Residence, which also accommodates six guests.

Pool heating can be requested for EUR 450 per week, paid locally on arrival.
Grocery shopping can be arranged on request for EUR 35 plus the cost of purchases, payable locally on arrival.
From 1 May, e-bikes can be hired locally through the Unicorn mobility app at an additional charge.
Cook or chef services and laundry services are available on request at extra cost.
Local regulations prohibit setting the air-conditioning below 24°C.
Please enquire in advance if travelling with young children. Parts of the grounds, particularly the pool surroundings, are not especially suitable for children.
Outside peak season, shorter bookings of at least five nights are possible with flexible changeover days. Please enquire for further details.
Larger groups can rent Villa Ammos together with its sister property, Alymra Residence, on the same estate. The estate contains 3 properties close to one another, each with its own private entrance and operating independently.
