Facing the sea and historic Heraklion across the bay, Villa Octavia suits friends and families with older children. Glass doors connect the open-plan living and dining space to the terrace, admitting sea breezes and evening cicada calls. An outdoor kitchen, barbecue, sound system and plentiful seating support relaxed days outside. Three spacious upstairs bedrooms include a main room with a private sea-view balcony and hot-tub-style bed.
Palaiokastro’s sheltered pebble cove, with calm, shallow water, lies just over a mile away; sandy Agia Pelagia is four miles away. Heraklion offers Venetian, Byzantine and Minoan history, including nearby Knossos Palace. Rethymno is an hour’s drive away.

The details
- On the ground floor, a fully equipped kitchen accompanies an open-plan living and dining room with a fireplace.
- The first floor contains three bedrooms. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, king-size bed, hot-tub-style bath and private balcony overlooking the sea. The remaining two bedrooms have queen-size beds and TVs, and share a shower room. Outdoors, the eight-metre pool features whirlpool hydromassage jets and heating at an additional charge. A hammam accommodates six people. There is also a terrace and a dining area with an outdoor kitchen, barbecue and wine conservator.

Extra notes
Pool heating must be requested in advance and costs EUR 130 per day, payable locally in cash on arrival. Water can reach up to 29°C, and the heat pump must be started three days before arrival.
Greece’s Climate Resilience Tax is charged in addition to the rental price at EUR 15 per day, payable locally.
A Nimbus T11 dayboat can be privately chartered on request for an additional charge, subject to availability.
For remote working, large computer screens, cable connectors and office equipment—a desk, chair, filing cabinet and printer—can be supplied at the villa for an additional charge. Internet speed has been upgraded specifically to support remote work.
Young children must be supervised at all times because of the villa’s cliffside setting and infinity pool.
