Villa Azul overlooks Vilamoura’s internationally renowned 27-hole Vila Sol golf course. Pine and fig trees frame fairway views from the terrace and loggia, with dining for ten, a drinks fridge and sofas. Bright contemporary interiors feature modern art, coloured walls, an open-plan kitchen-diner and spacious bedrooms. The games room offers table tennis, table football, billiards, air hockey, darts and PlayStation; next door are a TV room with Wii and fitness equipment for workouts, yoga or Pilates. The marina, cafés and restaurants are a short walk away; Praia de Quarteira is seven minutes by car, Albufeira’s Old Town thirty, and Benagil another thirty.

The details

The ground floor contains an open-plan kitchen and dining space, a living room, a laundry room and three bedrooms with king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms, one with a bathtub. One bedroom on this floor has its own terrace.
Upstairs, the first floor has an office and two bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and a private terrace.
The basement contains a games room, a television room and fitness equipment.
Outdoor facilities comprise a covered 10m infinity pool, a hot tub, sheltered dining and lounge spaces, a drinks fridge and a barbecue.
The hot tub is heated; heating the pool incurs an additional charge.
Underfloor heating and air conditioning are provided.
The terraced grounds and substantial drop beside the infinity pool make the villa unsuitable for recommendation to families with children under 5. Babies still sleeping in cots are accepted.
Cleaning is scheduled three times weekly, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with two maids for one hour or an equivalent staffing arrangement.

Extra notes

Pool heating must be requested in advance and costs GBP 300 per week. The villa occupies a residential setting overlooking the golf course, with neighbouring homes. The property is suited to families, but toddlers under 5 are not accepted because of its terraced grounds, the substantial drop from the infinity pool and three flights of open staircases. Babies sleeping in cots are welcome. Children must be supervised at all times. Complimentary housekeeping is allocated as one maid for 2 hours, two maids for one hour each, or an equivalent arrangement providing the total booked service hours. Only light cleaning is covered: remaking beds, cleaning bathrooms and floors, wiping kitchen surfaces when clear, and emptying bins. Washing dishes, loading or unloading dishwashers, and personal chores are excluded. A complete task list is available on request. Extra bed-linen changes can be requested at GBP 45 per bed, payable when the balance is due. This covers laundering the linen and the maid’s work to strip and remake the bed. General cleaning, replacement pillows, changing bedspreads, and changing pillow or mattress protectors are excluded. Any requested changes to these items are charged separately, with prices available on request. Extra housekeeping is available on request at GBP 30 per hour, payable when the balance is due. Extensions to the complimentary Monday, Wednesday and Friday visits require a minimum booking of 1 hour. Subject to staff availability, two maids may each work 30 minutes to provide that additional service hour. Extra cleaning on Tuesday and Thursday requires a minimum booking of 2 hours. Extra housekeeping and bed-linen changes are unavailable on Portuguese national holidays, Saturdays and Sundays.
