Between Siena and Montalcino, this 12th-century, Romanesque-rooted estate hosted Archbishop Sigeric in 994 on the Via Francigena. Later a castle, it was restored by the owners’ family. Its L-shaped plan holds five ensuite bedrooms, vaulted ceilings, frescoes and marble fireplaces, alongside oversized beds, fine linens, robes and white bathrooms. Formal gardens surround a pool with loungers and parasols, a cypress-framed tennis court, loggia and separate spa with gym, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Two kitchens support entertaining. Ponte d’Arbia’s trattorias are five minutes’ walk away; Buonconvento is three minutes by car. Siena, Florence, Chianti’s wine route and Lake Trasimeno offer excursions.

A villa manager is available to welcome arrivals and assist guests.
Housekeeping is provided for 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
The rental includes water, gas and electricity; Wi-Fi; air conditioning and heating where available; bed linen and towels on arrival, changed weekly for stays exceeding 7 nights; welcome items; final cleaning; and garden and pool maintenance. Extra notes

Guests have access to a spa in a nearby building, a short walk from the villa. Facilities include a modern gym, sauna, steam room, six-person hot tub and a lounge with a sofa and TV. The approach road is unpaved but well maintained and straightforward to drive. The villa is easily reached from the road between Siena and Buonconvento. Its proximity to this road means traffic noise may occasionally be audible. Air conditioning is provided only in all bedrooms and the first-floor living room.
