The owners spent a year finding this eastern Cretan peninsula plot, then collaborated with architects on a contemporary home shaped by the sea, comfort, Crete and concrete. Surrounding water creates a floating effect. Fully opening living spaces encourage natural ventilation; whites, muted neutrals, eight skylights, geometric forms and contemporary furniture define the interiors. Tree-lined Mediterranean gardens surround the villa. Lassithi offers long beaches and mountain scenery. Agios Nikolaos, 10 minutes away by car, has boats to Spinalonga; Elounda’s lagoon is 25 minutes away. The 4,000-year-old Palace of Knossos is a day-trip option, while MamaLoukia & Lotzeta in Kalo Chorio, 15 minutes away, is recommended for local dining.

Housekeeping is provided daily from 8am to 2pm, except on Sundays.
Shopping is delivered to the villa six days a week. Grocery lists must be supplied one day ahead; groceries are charged separately.
Bed linen and towels are replaced every three days.
Toiletries, bathrobes and slippers are provided free of charge.
Standard rental inclusions cover water, gas and electricity, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and heating where available, bed linen and towels on arrival with weekly replacements for stays exceeding 7 nights, welcome items, final cleaning, and garden and pool upkeep. At some properties, weekly allowances may apply to electricity, air-conditioning and heating use where specified in the extra notes.

The details

The ground floor has two bedrooms, each with a super king-size bed. One has a full en suite bathroom with a shower. The other has an en suite shower and basin, with a separate WC immediately beside the bedroom.
Four lower-ground-floor bedrooms each have a super king-size bed. One has a full en suite bathroom with a shower, one uses a shared full bathroom, and two have en suite showers and basins with access to a separate shared WC opposite the bedrooms.
A generous open-plan living room and kitchen on the ground floor open onto a terrace facing the sea.
The 25-metre infinity pool has steps and five integrated daybeds. The children’s pool is 0.5 metres deep. Both pools use salt water and can be heated.
The poolside pizza oven and charcoal barbecue have direct access to the kitchen. Outdoor spaces also include a shaded bar and seating around a fire pit.
On the lower-ground floor, the spa includes a wooden sauna, a five-person hot tub and a shower room. The gym provides a broad range of fitness equipment and free weights.
The lower-ground floor also contains a wine cellar and a laundry room equipped with a washing machine, dryer, safe and additional storage.
Services include daily housekeeping except Sundays, concierge assistance and grocery delivery.

Extra notes

Heating for the 25m pool is available on request for EUR 100 per day. Advance notice is required, with a minimum heating period of 7 days. Greece’s Climate Resilience Tax is charged in addition to the rental price. From April to October, it is EUR 15 per day, payable locally. Air-conditioning is limited to the bedrooms. Stone walls help the house maintain its own temperature. A carefully chosen collection of premium Cretan wines can be purchased from the villa’s private wine cellar. Some bedrooms do not have a private WC in their en suite bathroom. These have a shower and basin only, with WCs in adjoining or shared bathrooms. The final approximately 300m of the approach road is unpaved. Low-clearance vehicles are not recommended.
