On a pine-covered summit, Villa Rocco pairs original frescoes and mosaics with mid-century furnishings, handcrafted wood, marble and Scandinavian-inspired stone-and-cream bedrooms. Its infinity pool overlooks Lake Como and surrounding peaks; the glass-walled pool house opens to gardens of linden, cedar and cypress, where foxes and deer may appear. A rock-cut gym, table tennis, pétanque, billiards, trampoline, treehouse and life-size fire truck cater to families. Open-plan space suits teenagers, books and games. The ground floor contains a TV room, a sitting room opening onto a terrace, a music room with a grand piano, a dining room seating 10, and a fully equipped kitchen with a table for six.
The lower-ground-floor gym can also be used for yoga.
The first floor has a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and bathtub. A further double bedroom and a twin bedroom both overlook the lake and share an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub.
On the second floor, the main bedroom overlooks the lake and has an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and a private sitting room.
Also on the second floor are a double bedroom with a balcony, garden views and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub; another double bedroom with a balcony and lake views; and a twin bedroom. The last two bedrooms share a bathroom with a bathtub.
The third floor offers an open-plan area with an indoor kitchen, TV, sofas, a living room with a fireplace and a billiards table, plus one ensuite bedroom.

Extra notes

Some garden boundaries have low walls or no walls. Young children must be supervised. The property has 9 bedrooms, but occupancy is limited to 14 guests. Please enquire for larger groups. Pigra is reached from Argegno at lake level along a 15km mountain road. The route is winding and narrow in places; reaching the house takes 20–40 minutes, depending on driving ability. Ironing costs €50 per hour. Additional chef time costs €100 per hour, and additional waitstaff time costs €50 per hour. A cooked breakfast prepared by the resident chef costs €2,500 per week. Food and beverages are charged separately. Fixed-menu options cost €35 per person for the Light Menu, €65 for the Traditional Menu and €100 for the Gourmet Menu. Alternatively, a custom menu is available with receipts: detailed menu choices must be supplied at least 7 days before arrival, and the chef purchases high-end ingredients accordingly. Without advance menu choices, meals are prepared at the chef’s discretion. A €10,000 food and beverage deposit must be paid directly to the property no later than 7 days before check-in. Local regulations require city tax to be paid on site in cash, approximately €4.50 per person per night.
