Newly built Villa Serena overlooks wheatfields towards southern Tuscany’s sea. Its two-hectare gardens feature aloes, prickly pears, grasses, a pool and brazier. The open-sided loggia combines straw lamps, rattan and terracotta cushions; indoors, art champions women, alongside a two-tier chandelier. Three bedrooms have colourful metal four-posters; an attic twin has nautical touches.
An underground cinema, sauna, massage room and Technogym equipment complement nearby tennis. The cook prepares three daily meals with organic estate produce. Nearby are Capalbio’s ancient castle, medieval walls and frescoed palazzo; Monte Argentario, Porto Ercole, Santo Stefano, Magliano’s Morellino di Scansano vineyards and Maremma’s wild interior, clifftop towers and sandy beaches.

- Bed linen and towels are changed mid-week.
- Laundry service includes washing and ironing; dry cleaning is excluded.
