Designed by Isabelle Milliez for owner Dominique Cerutti, Villa Sunset combines concrete, stone, wood and glass beside the Mediterranean. Claude Bruno Pépiniériste replanted its gardens. Muted interiors feature vivid upholstery, modern art, refined fabrics and authentic 1970s black leather chairs. Open-plan rooms extend outdoors towards a pool and rooftop lounge, with panoramic sunset views. Suited to multigenerational families and friends, the villa offers private sea access, weekday-morning babysitting, an adapted bedroom and a lift. La Ciotat, 15 miles from Marseille and Toulon, has an artificial sandy beach, cinema and pétanque history, nearby calanques for kayaking, and Cap Canaille’s 1,293-foot cliffs along Route des Crêtes.

Inclusions

A villa manager is available to welcome arrivals and assist guests.
Babysitting for children aged 3–12 is included from 09:00 to 12:00 each morning, excluding Saturdays and Sundays, with one babysitter for up to five children.
Four hours of housekeeping are provided on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Toiletries are provided free of charge.
Pool heating is included from June through October, up to a maximum of 27°C, depending on weather conditions.
Tourist tax is included.
Breakfast, including groceries, is provided every day except Sunday.
Bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are changed on Wednesdays.
Standard rental inclusions cover water, gas and electricity; Wi-Fi; air-conditioning and heating where available; bed linen and towels on arrival, with weekly changes for stays exceeding seven nights; welcome items; final cleaning; and garden and pool maintenance. At some properties, weekly allowances may apply to electricity, air-conditioning and heating use where specified in the extra notes.

The details

All 11 bedrooms have en suite bathrooms: nine are in the main house and two in a separate waterfront annex. The two annex bedrooms are compact, each with a 140cm bed, and are best suited to teenagers or staff.
The main house has five bedrooms on the ground floor, including one adapted for guests with reduced mobility, and four on the first floor.
Seven bedrooms have king-size beds that can be arranged as twins; four have standard double beds.
Ground-floor spaces comprise two kitchens, one in the annex, a living room, cinema, library, laundry room, gym, and sauna with changing rooms.
The annex also contains a business centre and seminar room, games area, kitchenette and changing room.
Outdoor facilities include a heated pool, lounge terrace, solarium with sun loungers, sea-view roof terrace, table tennis, and a court for pétanque and Mölkky.
Available equipment includes paddleboards, kayaks, inflatable boats, air mattresses, fins, masks and snorkels.
The villa stands directly beside the beach in a residential neighbourhood, with homes on both sides.

Extra notes

The villa is on the beachfront in a residential neighbourhood, with neighbouring houses on either side. The annex bedrooms are compact. Each has a 140cm bed and is best suited to teenagers or staff. Exterior CCTV cameras provide security and can be switched off during your stay on request. Pool heating is included from June to mid-October. For the rest of the year it is available on request, with a charge of €2,000 per stay between November and May. The pool can be heated to 27°C. A €5,000 security deposit will be held on the guest’s credit card.
